Everything You Need to Know
Silicone render is a modern, thin-coat exterior wall finish made with silicone-based resins that provide a flexible, water-repellent, and breathable protective layer. It forms a water-shedding, microscopic layer that prevents rain penetration while allowing internal moisture vapor to escape, making it durable, low-maintenance, and resistant to dirt and algae.
We have an impressive amount of colours available. There is about 300 colours of silicone render to choose from, using our sample pack. View colours >
With silicone renders becoming the number one render system in terms of longevity, appearance and quality, we exclusively offer this type of render. We ask, why choose something else if this product is the best on the market?
Yes! We're officially part of KLEIB render and can offer 25 years manufacturer's warranty! This means, even if this company would cease to exist in a few years, you will still be covered.
Silicone render is generally better than traditional cement render due to its superior durability, flexibility, water resistance, self-cleaning properties, and a wider range of aesthetic options, though it has a higher initial cost.
The best render is generally considered to be Silicone Render due to its superior flexibility, durability, water repellency, breathability, and self-cleaning properties, making it a low-maintenance and long-lasting option ideal for various climates and building types. However, the "best" render ultimately depends on factors like your property's age, the local climate, and desired maintenance levels, with other options like Lime Render better suited for older, traditional buildings that require higher breathability.
For a durable, weather-resistant, and aesthetically pleasing finish, brands like KLEIB are highly recommended by installers and are known for their silicone render products. Consider factors such as the render's specific properties (like self-cleaning or enhanced durability for exposed locations), the available grain sizes and finishes, and the overall project requirements to select the best brand and product for your building.
Silicone render typically costs £95 to £185 per square metre, including labour and materials, but this can vary significantly based on location, project complexity, and property size. For example, a mid-sized, three-bed semi-detached house might cost between £9,000 and £11,000, whereas a larger detached property could be upwards of £13,500. Additional costs for scaffolding, waste removal, and potential insulation upgrades should also be factored in.
KLEIB offers several render types, including Acrylic plaster (C5), Silicate-siloxane plaster (C6), Silicone plaster (C7), Siloxane plaster (C8), and decorative Mosaic plasters (M9, M10), which are designed for various protective and decorative finishes on walls. These products are often used as part of their External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems, or as standalone coloured or mosaic renders for buildings.
We can remove or modify any render but we only apply the best on the market type of renders provided by KLEIB render manufacturer, which outlive all other types of renders.
With proper installation, our high quality render has a life of 25 years by the manufacturer but is known to last alot longer.
Due to our system that we designed, we can render all year round in most weather conditions.
Small jobs like a standard terraced house front usually take 2 weeks and this includes some paint restoration services. Semi-detached or detached properties take upwards of 3 weeks on average depending on size and preparation required.
